Thank you Lord

When I look back at my life, your love is my greatest accomplishment. Thank you for saving me, loving me, and sending me your Holy Spirit. You have richly blessed my life. You've been my Father, my Husband, my Friend, my Comforter, my Peace, my Healer and my Provider. I thank you that your mercies are new every morning. You walk with me all the days of my life, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. What more could I ask for?

Back To School

Dylan and Caleb transferred to Hamburg Public Schools this year. I believe that it will be a good move. Dylan is in 2nd grade this year, and Caleb is in Pre-K. They are growing up so fast.

Atlanta vs. St. Louis

Friday August 24, 2007, my dad, Donna, Eric and I set out to watch the Braves play at St. Louis. We drove to Blythville Friday, and stayed at a Hotel. We got up early Saturday morning and drove the rest of the way to St. Louis. The game started at 6:00, but we got to the stadium about 4:00. We had to go in all the shops and look around at all the expensive things, when I say expensive that is what I mean. I 12oz. bottle of water was $4.75. The braves played a great game, but the Cardinals won. We stayed in a town just outside of St. Louis Saturday night, and drove all of the way home Sunday.

Did I mention we had front row seats right behind the Braves dugout. It was awesome, and my dad and I got to spend some much needed time together.

My Child My Child

Saturday Eric, the boys, and I went to Simmons Sporting Goods to see Michael Waddell. It was so fun. Everybody bought something for him to autograph. I got Season 4 DVD, Dylan got a hat and Caleb got a shirt. Caleb really wanted a toy gun, but it was so close to his birthday we decided not to get it. So this is the conversation between Eric and Caleb as we were leavin the Store.
Caleb- "I really wanted a gun"
Eric- " Your not getting a gun it is to close to your birthday."
Caleb- "But I needed a gun"
Eric- "You're going to need help if you don't hush"
Caleb- "What's a help?"
Eric couldn't answer for laughing so hard.
Caleb- "I don't need a help, I need a gun."
I thought that was so funny, I just had to share.

Dissapointment

Today I feel yuck and dissapointed with myself. I am tired of only doing the things that are required of me to survive. I am ready to do exceedingly and abundantly more than I ever have. To people who don't know me that well may think I am asking for a bit much, but if you know me that's just how I roll. LOL! I do everything that has to be done, bathing the children, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and so on and so on, but I feel like there is so much more that I should be doing. I feel like I have lost my supermom power. I don't have it all together anymore, and I hate it. I want to be a better mother and wife. I feel like I have let my family down. Yes, I guess I am wallowing in self -pitty, but I assure you that I am not trying to get people's attention. I just want to do a better job at juggling all of my responsibilities and your advice may help.

Always wear a helmet.

Friday July 13, 2007 is a day I will never forget. I got a phone call at 11:00a.m. It was Dylan and Caleb's dad, He told me that he was carrying Dylan to the hospital, because Dylan had a bike wreck and needed stitches. They were in Hoxie, AR, which is about 5 hours away. I was at work, so I thought, just stitches I can deal with that I wasn't going to drive 5 hours. About two hours later, Jonathan called back and said that they were transporting Dylan to Children's hospital because he had a fractured skull and air was getting in to his brain. I immediately left work and my mother and I headed up to Little Rock. We arrived about 5 minutes before the ambulance. When the ambulance arrived, we were waiting outside, and their was my baby. He had a patch over his eye and a neck brace on. He was so happy and relieved to see his momma and nana. They immediately started taking more x-rays and a ct-scan. We waited and waited and waited. The whole time, I must tell you Dylan laid there with no pain medicine whatsoever because he had a concussion. Finally, at 6:30 p.m., after we found out that the skull was not depressed, he did not have to have surgery Praise God!, and they could sew the wound up. Dylan was very adamant that he did not want stitches, but he got 8 stitches anyway. They gave us specific instructions on how do deal with a head injury and take care of his stitches and at 9:00, we were ready to go home. Dylan is healing very well and he is dealing with his accident well. We are blessed that it was no worse than it was, and thanks to everyone for their constant love and prayers.

A great weekend

Rayleigh and Micah had a great time with my dad and Donna this weekend. Thursday, Eric and I took Micah and Rayleigh to my dad's and we picked up Kaitlynn and Sarah. The weekend was very relaxing. I got some much needed rest. Here are a few pictures of the girls this weekend.
